LaGuardia Airport Car Service

Home Airport Transfers LaGuardia Airport Car Service

Rodriguez Luxury Cars provides car service to and from LaGuardia Airport across New York City and the tri-state area, on an all-inclusive quote. LaGuardia is the closest of the three New York airports to Midtown — typically 25 to 45 minutes — which makes it the airport where a quote fixed at booking and a chauffeur who knows the terminal roadways matter most.

LaGuardia finished a full rebuild and is now a genuinely pleasant airport to use — but the new terminal roadways are not intuitive, and the pickup zones sit away from the arrivals doors. This is the airport where an unfamiliar driver most often ends up in the wrong lane or the wrong level. Our chauffeurs work LGA constantly and go straight to the correct pickup point.

Every trip is quoted at booking, all-inclusive of tolls, standard gratuity, meet-and-greet and wait time. Your quote is confirmed in writing before you travel and does not move with traffic, weather or demand. Request a quote or call +1 (914) 396-1338.

Terminal pickup at LaGuardia Airport

LaGuardia's rebuilt terminals each have a designated for-hire pickup area rather than simple curbside. Your chauffeur confirms the meeting point by text as you land. Here is how each terminal works.

TerminalHow pickup works
Terminal AThe Marine Air Terminal. Small, quick, and the easiest pickup at the airport — meet-and-greet inside is genuinely faster than curbside here.
Terminal BThe large rebuilt terminal with an elevated arrivals hall. Pickup is from the designated for-hire area; we meet you at baggage claim and walk you out.
Terminal CModern arrivals hall with its own dedicated pickup zone. Meet-and-greet at baggage claim, or curbside at the assigned lane if you prefer.

How long does LaGuardia Airport take by time of day?

About 9 miles from Midtown Manhattan. 25 to 45 minutes to Midtown, depending on time of day. The windows below are what we actually plan against rather than best-case figures.

WhenWhat to expect
Weekday 6:00 – 9:30amGrand Central Parkway is heavy inbound. Allow 50 minutes.
Weekday 10am – 3pmThe best window. 25 to 35 minutes to Midtown.
Weekday 4:00 – 7:00pmThe BQE and RFK Bridge approaches clog. Allow 55 to 70 minutes.
Evenings after 8pmClear. 25 to 30 minutes.
Any Mets home gameTraffic around Citi Field spills onto the Grand Central. Add 20 minutes.

Where we go from LaGuardia

LaGuardia's catchment is tighter than JFK's and the runs are shorter. Manhattan, Queens and the Bronx are the bulk of it, all close enough that the ground leg is rarely the constraint on the day.

Northward runs are the ones worth knowing about: LaGuardia to Westchester or Connecticut avoids Manhattan entirely via the Whitestone or Throgs Neck crossings, which makes it a considerably better arrival airport than JFK for anyone heading to Greenwich, Stamford or White Plains.

Brooklyn from LaGuardia is the awkward one — the BQE is the only sensible route and it is unreliable in the evening peak. Allow more time than the mileage suggests.

Why LaGuardia is the most forgiving airport in New York

Nine miles, mostly parkway, with two viable approaches. Fewer things can go wrong here than on the JFK or Newark runs, and that shows up in the spread rather than the average.

LaGuardia's worst case sits far closer to its best case than either of the other airports. If your schedule has no slack, that narrower spread is worth more than a shorter average journey time would be.

The practical consequence is that a two-hour buffer for a domestic LaGuardia departure is genuinely comfortable, where the same buffer at Newark would not be. We will tell you when you are cutting it fine rather than let you find out.

Making the most of the rebuilt terminals

LaGuardia's reconstruction produced a much better airport and a much less intuitive kerbside. The for-hire pickup zones now sit away from the arrivals doors, and the signage assumes you already know where you are going.

This is the one New York airport where meet-and-greet is genuinely faster than curbside rather than merely nicer. Your chauffeur walks in, takes the bags, and walks you to a vehicle already in the correct zone — which is quicker than finding that zone yourself.

On departures none of this applies. LaGuardia kerbside drop-off is straightforward, and the short walk from kerb to security is one of the better things about the rebuild.

Game days and the Grand Central Parkway

Citi Field sits directly on the LaGuardia approach, and a Mets home game pushes significant traffic onto the Grand Central Parkway. On a game day, add twenty minutes to any LaGuardia run and more if the game is finishing as you travel.

The US Open at Flushing Meadows is the larger version of the same problem, and it runs for a fortnight from late August. During it we plan LaGuardia departures as though they were JFK departures.

These are entirely predictable and entirely avoidable with an earlier departure, which is the sort of thing dispatch will raise with you when you book rather than after.

Twenty-five to forty-five minutes for most of the day. Allow closer to an hour in the weekday evening peak, when the BQE and the RFK Bridge approaches are at their worst. LaGuardia is roughly nine miles from Midtown — the shortest airport run in New York.

Meet-and-greet inside the terminal at baggage claim, which at LGA is genuinely faster than curbside because the rebuilt terminals put for-hire pickup away from the arrivals doors. Curbside is available if you prefer it, and we text the exact lane as you land.

Yes. We track your flight from booking and adjust the pickup automatically for delays or early arrivals. Sixty minutes of complimentary wait time starts when you land.

Yes — LGA is about nine miles from Midtown against JFK's fifteen, so it is usually the shorter run.

Yes. Inter-airport runs are routine for us, particularly for travellers on separate tickets where a missed connection is not the airline's responsibility. We track both flights.
