Manhattan to Newark Airport Car Service

Home Airport Transfers Manhattan to Newark Airport Car Service

We run Manhattan to Newark transfers in a Business Sedan, Luxury SUV or Sprinter Van. Your quote already contains the Hudson River crossing toll, the New Jersey Turnpike and the airport access fee — the charges that get added at the kerb on a metered Newark trip.

Your quote for this route

Every trip is quoted at booking, all-inclusive of tolls, standard gratuity, meet-and-greet and wait time. Your quote is confirmed in writing before you travel and does not move with traffic, weather or demand. Request a quote or call +1 (914) 396-1338.

What to know about this run

This is the New York airport run where a meter hurts most. The trip crosses a state line, a river and a toll plaza, and every one of those is passed through to you at the end — on top of any surge multiplier.

The weekday evening tunnel queues are the worst of any airport approach in the region. Between 4pm and 7pm, allow ninety minutes rather than the usual hour.

When a tunnel closes there is no good alternative — the George Washington Bridge adds distance and its own congestion. We monitor both crossings and reroute rather than sit.

What the tolls add on this route

The difference between Newark and JFK is almost entirely tolls rather than distance — sixteen miles against fifteen. What the Newark run adds is a Hudson River crossing, the New Jersey Turnpike and an airport access fee.

On a metered trip all three of those are added at the end, on top of whatever the meter reached and on top of surge. That is why a Newark run is the single most common source of an unpleasant surprise at the kerb in this city.

Our quote contains all of it. There is nothing to settle when you arrive.

Building a buffer for the tunnels

We recommend an extra thirty minutes for Newark departures that we do not recommend for JFK or LaGuardia, and the reason is that the failure has no workaround.

A Van Wyck problem has the Belt Parkway. A tunnel closure has the George Washington Bridge, which is considerably further and carries its own congestion. The difference between those two fallbacks is thirty to forty-five minutes.

If your departure is between 4pm and 7pm on a weekday, treat ninety minutes as the planning figure rather than the worst case.

Frequently asked questions

Tolls, the New Jersey Turnpike, the airport access fee and standard gratuity are all inside your quote. Request one through the booking form or call +1 (914) 396-1338.

Yes — every one of them, including the Hudson River crossing and the New Jersey Turnpike. There is nothing to settle at the kerb.

Forty-five to seventy minutes most of the day, and up to ninety between 4pm and 7pm on a weekday when the Lincoln and Holland Tunnels queue badly.

Three hours before an international departure and two and a half for domestic — and add a further thirty minutes in the weekday evening peak. Newark is the run where leaving early actually matters.
